“Automated Electric Drive”: key issues of modern electomechanics
The tenth International Conference "Automated Electric Drive" with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) and under the auspices of the International Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE took place from 3 to 6 October in Platov South-Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI).
The presentation “Prospects for the development of educational programs in mechatronic and electric drive systems for agriculture”, which reflects the passing results of project ERASMUS + 585596-EPP-1-2017-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP FARMER), implemented by our university together with four universities in Russia, as well as leading universities in Germany, Italy, Slovakia and Iran was presented.
Strong interest of the conference participants was aroused by the report of the Associate Professor of the Department “Mechatronics and Hydraulic and Pneumatic Automation Systems” Tatiana Kruglova about the progress of this project and the possibility of masters student which studies 15.04.06 “Mechatronics and Robotics“ in the Agromechatronics direction to get a double diploma of Russian and European types. Professor of the Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany) Tom Strella who is the coordinator of this project appreciated the work results of our colleagues. The students who were present at the meeting showed great interest in this master's program and expressed a desire to further study in this area.
